Privacy Policy

Overview

InvoiceBee provides a free browser-based invoice generator and an optional Pro account. The free generator keeps invoice form data on your device. When you create a Pro account, the information you choose to save is stored securely so that your clients, invoices, and recurring workflows are available across sessions.

Data We Collect

The free generator stores sender details, client details, line items, invoice numbers, currency preferences, and template selections in your browser's localStorage. Generating a guest PDF happens in your browser and does not upload the PDF contents to us.

If you register for Pro, we process your account and business profile, saved clients, invoices, estimates, recurring invoice settings, delivery status, and payment status. Invoice emails and attached PDFs are sent to the recipient you select. Stripe processes subscription and invoice-payment information; InvoiceBee does not store complete card details.

Analytics and Cookies

InvoiceBee uses essential browser storage for the generator, authentication, security, and your analytics preference. With your consent, we also use PostHog product analytics hosted in the European Union to measure page visits and explicit product events such as starting the generator, downloading a PDF, or beginning a trial.

We disable PostHog autocapture and session recording. We do not send invoice contents, names, email addresses, postal addresses, card or bank details, or URL query parameters to PostHog. You can accept, decline, or change this choice using the Analytics link in the footer.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate InvoiceBee:

• Vercel — Hosts the InvoiceBee application. Vercel may collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps). These logs are used for infrastructure security and performance monitoring. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — Authentication, account profiles, and saved Pro data. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe — Subscription billing and optional invoice payments. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Resend — Transactional invoice and reminder email delivery. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
• PostHog — Consent-based product analytics hosted in the EU. See PostHog's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

Guest generator data remains in your browser until you clear it or reset the invoice. Pro account and invoice records are retained while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for security, legal, tax, dispute, and service obligations. PostHog's free cloud plan retains analytics data for up to one year. You may request deletion using the contact below.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you may have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including access, correction, portability, restriction, objection, and erasure, subject to applicable legal exceptions:

• Local generator data: You can view, edit, export, or clear it directly in your browser.
• Account data: Contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion.
• Analytics consent: Change or withdraw your choice at any time from the Analytics link in the footer.

Children's Privacy

InvoiceBee is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of InvoiceBee after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
